. What are the taxi and public transport options for getting to the conference venue?
Route: Include the JW Marriott New Orleans in your reservation. They will drop you off directly at the hotel.
Pickup point: Airport Shuttle ticket desks are located across from baggage claim areas 1, 5,9,11 and 12. For more information please visit their website
Cost: Prices range between $24 and $44
Wheelchair accessibility: Airport Shuttle offers multiple services for wheelchair users. Please visit their accessibility page
Walking and steps: Shuttles will drop and pick up attendees directly at the hotel lobby entrance. Presence of steps unknown. Service animals: Service Animals are welcome on Airport Shuttle

. Does POPL offer Childcare?
POPL cannot recommend childcare providers.
However, SIGPLAN PAC can offer financial aid to cover childcare costs.
POPL also have a couple of suites available at the group rate ($179 / night + tax), priority will be given to attendees travelling with children

. Will the conference be accessible by wheelchair?
Yes, the conference will be accessible to wheelchair users. We are still working on a detailed description of wheelchair access.
At this time, we do not have a ramp on to the stage. If you are a presenter who uses a wheelchair, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can make arrangements. After the early registration deadline we cannot guarantee to be able to provide a ramp. Poster sessions will have space for a wheelchair to move between the posters.
. Can I attend the conference by robot?
We are sorry, but POPL 2020 will not be able to accommodate remote attendance by robot.
. How much walking or standing will be needed?
The conference will be concentrated on the second and 8th floor with seating available in the meeting rooms. There are elevators to all meeting spaces. A limited amount of seating will be available during breaks and the poster sessions. Attendees have access to the hotel lobby with additional seating.
. What if I have a medical emergency or health problem during the conference?
In case of emergency call 911 for an ambulance. Multiple hospitals and Medical facilities are located within 9-15 minutes of driving from the venue. For non-resident attendees, buying travel insurance that covers medical expenses is strongly recommended as fees for emergency treatment can be very high.
